E-Series E90/110 Ingersoll Rand Oil-free Screw Air Compressor

l  Feature and Benefit

Outline
Ingersoll Rand Class 0 oil free rotary screw compressor holds a time-proven design with integrated multiple industry-leading technologies. With ruggedly reliable 2 stage compression modules, UltraCoatTM technology, unique triple sealing, 46ºC rated ambient temperature design, robust bearing parts as well as the intelligent control system, the E-Series units provide efficient 0 class oil free compressed air solutions to the customers.
On this basis, Ingersoll Rand has launched a redesigned E-Series oil free screw air compressor. With better performance, expanded capacity range, optimized sealing design, more compact airend and pachage layout, E-Series will bring customers better use experience and more energy-saving use experience of oil free compressed air.

l  Ruggedly reliable 2 stage compression modules
Ingersoll Rand compressor airend boasts a worldwide reputation for zero failure and low maintenance cost. The E-Series two stage compressor airends lower the heat load of different stages. The 2nd stage rotors are constructed of stainless steel to resist moisture corrosion. Ultracoat™, an Ingersoll Rand patented process, which is robotically applied to the rotor’ surface, ensures tightest rotor tolerance and realizes the continuous operation overtime without diminish in capacity.
The airend housing cabinet applies coolant in jackets for cooling, takeover heat of compression and improve compression efficiency. The 2nd rotors are constructed of stainless steel

l  UltraCoatTM  Unique UltraCoatTM

Ingersoll Rand unique Ultracoat™ process, adopting Molylbdenumdisulfide (MoS2) matrix compound, featuring high rigidity and unmatched adhesion and anti-oxidation properties, is robotically applied to the rotor’s surface to obtain the uniform coating. Additionally, the screw rotors are shot blasted before this coating process to improve the surface roughness to facilitate the coating adhering.

UltraCoatTM superior performance helps the compressor units of the customers to realize the continuous operation overtime without diminish in capacity. Rather than using the robotically uniform coating, most competitors apply flexible Teflon coating, which will fall out during constant operation due to the thermal expansion and water vapor corrosion, thus will generate increased rotor clearance. This situation will lead to 8%-10% diminished capacity and total operation cost of the unit increased.

l   High ambient temperature design

The units are designed to satisfy the applications in hot and humid subtropics and the highest rated temperature is 46°C so that the shutdown caused by high temperature in summer can be avoided. All E-Series water cooled and air cooled units can operate under these extreme circumstances.

l  Reliable components and parts
Bearing

Each stage of the E-Series airends has been equipped with roller bearings on the inlet end to handle radial loads in line contact and roller bearings on the outlet end to absorb thrust loads in angular contact. The extremely small airend rotor clearance is of great importance to guarantee the first-rate efficiency.  The angular contact of the roller bearings can maintain the precise position of the rotors in line with a certain special design which will decrease the airend failure rate to a great extent and increase the overhaul life.

l World-Class Efficiency
Our new state-of-the-art modular airend design features an
optimized rotor profile that delivers significantly improved
efficiency and best-in-class airflow. A high-efficiency induction
motor featuring ample sized cooling and low pressure drops is used
in conjunction with Ingersoll Rand’s oil-free fixed and variable speed
compressors, providing the optimum combination of high airflow with
the lowest energy consumption.

lInlet air system

E-Series inlet valve employs hydraulic actuation, which is much more reliable and requires no constant maintenance or replacement comparing to what competitive rubber diaphragm actuation may need.for fix frequence compressor

The combined inlet and outlet valve are used in Load/Unload control. When the butterfly type valve full opens, the outlet valve closes at the same time. When the butterfly type valve closes in unload process, the air circulates through an orifice of the valve clack and vents to the atmosphere through the linked outlet valve. The discharge of the oil gas from the oil free screw rotary air compression sump through ventilation cap, is directly vent outside the sump along with the hot gas so as to guarantee the absolute oil free quality of airend inlet air.

lCooling system

Our compressor systems are designed for 46°C (115°F)
operation, versus other designs at 40°C (104°F). This
provides an additional cooling margin for trouble-free
operation at higher temperatures, prevents shutdown as
heat exchangers foul, and protects against corrosion in
water-cooled models for more efficient operation.
